Welcome to our villages by the sea!

Narbonne is surrounded by 34 villages... all with different atmospheres and interesting sites to explore. Take a detour to see these historic places – and the people who live there in the Corbières, Minervois or La Clape areas!

In some, you can stroll through the medieval streets and do your shopping.

In others, you can sit outdoors at a café terrace and chat about rugby, or the latest in the local newspaper.

The villages of Les Corbières Maritimes are located either on the edge of the lagoons, as is the case with Bages, Peyriac-de-Mer, Sigean and La Palme, or a little further inland, surrounded by the garrigue, as with Bizanet, Portel-des-Corbières and Roquefort-des-Corbières.

The villages of the Minervois

Not only are the villages of the Minervois surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and garrigue, they are also crossed by waterways and the famous Canal du Midi! Peace and tranquillity reign supreme in these small stone villages, just right for taking your time. Discover them at your own pace: on foot, by bike or by boat. By the canal du Midi: Le Somail, Ventenac-en-Minervois, or along the river for Bize-Minervois and Sallèles d'Aude.

This village appears as a green oasis where the canal de Jonction crosses the country's rivers. Perfect for walking, Sallèles d'Aude also offers a rich ancient past with its Amphoralis museum.

The villages of the Massif de la Clape

At the foot of the massif de la Clape, discover the villages with their houses so typical of the wine estates in the south of France, as well as some master houses that date back to the golden age of wine-making. Enjoy a leisurely stroll in Armissan, Vinassan, Coursan, Fleury d'Aude and Salles d'Aude. Between two villages, take in the unique views of the surrounding landscapes and the Mediterranean Sea.

Seaside resorts

Built along with the coastline's urban development in the 1970s and 80s, the seaside resorts of the Côte du Midi have remained on a human scale. They offer all the services you could want for your holiday, as well as some exceptional surroundings and fine sandy beaches, without having to take the car! Here, you will see locals and visitors promenading along the landscaped waterfronts, often bustling with markets selling local produce.
